FAQ
1. How long should I consider staying in Italy to study?
While there is no set time that you are required to study in Italy, you should consider staying for at least a term or two. That will enable you to maximize your study abroad experience and learn as much as you can.
2. Is there anything that I should do before going to Italy?
The normal preparations for a trip abroad should be taken into consideration. It is also recommended that you study basic Italian before leaving for Italy. Though there are a lot of English speaking people in the country, it would be easier for you to adjust to your new living conditions if you have a working knowledge of the local language. More than that, knowing some Italian would enhance your experience there.
3. Is studying in Italy expensive?
Exactly how much you would spend for your study abroad experience would depend largely on the program that you choose, the area where you want to stay, and your accommodations. Other expenses would be transportation, extra school materials, and other living expenses. You may apply for a scholarship or financial aid from your academic institution at home if they have such an offering.
4. What type of housing is available for students?
Much like in other countries, the university or college that you apply to can help you arrange your housing. In Italy, you have the choice of in-campus housing, a flat, and home stay. However, the most common arrangement is to stay in a flat.
