The Ten Central Ohio Technical College learners were not entirely sure in regards to what been thinking during the time of their educational schooling that been sent through an email in regards to the entire expenses that been paid upon traveling for College Italy program into this summer season. According to Sarah Hackemoeller who current the Newark campus learner stated her point of view with mix emotions in regards to the free schooling travel in Italy. Since, their first COTC international travel educational program is entirely been happening just thankful towards the donation from Gib Reese and Lou who have entirely thought that its quite essential toward other individuals upon experiencing foreign cultural setting. According to John Berry; who is the current COTC Vice President for the Enrollment Management and Student Life. Reeses got a home that been located in Reggello, Italy that’s been the city where about 10 learners will be staying for about 12 days especially in the month of July and they are now leaving in the month of July 18. It’s been considered that Reggello as the Newark towards Columbus as for France according to Berry. They would probably not be picking Reggello except this Reeses that are entirely ingrained there. Aside of that, its been consider as a good location into this region of Tuscany and students will now be traveling in Florence, Pisa, Rome and various cities while still staying with their respective host families in the Reggello.

According to Cheryl White who recently graduated in COTC Knox Campus will now be turning 50 during its travel in Italy and she entirely been thinking it as an exciting part. Since, they actually be going as being part of their family in just couple of weeks. Aside of that, they will be gaining a full time guide in hand on hand setting as they will be traveling from one place to the other. Its been consider as a competitive educational program, learners will entirely be evaluated basing on the academic record that been got, COTC involvement, interviewing and to its essay. Berry also stated that about 54 students from various colleges in Knox, Coshocton, Pataskala, and Newark school campus have applied. Their respective ages ranges from 19 till 51. Christine Henning from Pataskala stated that she really did not have a fuller grasps in regards to the average age. Henning have traveled across U.S. during her teenage years but together with five boys that ranges 5-22 years old and she has not yet able to travel ever since. Most of their 10 learners have either had not yet travel abroad. Meanwhile, Bryanna Stigger from Newark also stated to the mere fact of not yet traveling farther from its respective home than in West Virginia.

She also stated that Newark, Ohio as its precious place and it’s her first time to be on plane and quite nervous about it but might be going big to it. Aside of that, the group also stated that there were entirely excited of seeing an ancient buildings and even experiencing cultural tradition as much as possible. According to Dina Morrow of Coshocton who have just recently graduated from the COTC’s nursing educational program stated of wanting to see on how they will be going to take care of this individuals with various disabilities or towards those older individuals. During the time that students will be returning in Ohio, they will be providing presentation in COTC board of trustees into this season of fall that includes video that been produce through this digital media designing learner who is Tom Ellis who is a Newark Campus Student. This educational program is not entirely for credit purposes but for experience setting. In some other ways, it would be more consider as a mere obstacle because they would be paying for their summer credits according to Berry and they don’t entirely be paying a dime other than its souvenir money.

But the greater challenge that they faces on is to raise about $118,000 in the midst of economic recession in order to send about 17 rural students to Italy for their art educational trip. According to Lisa Purda who is the head of the art department of this Pahiatua’s Tararua College that her students were entirely demonstrate an outstanding talents in art field. As a result, the students are very much excited of going its trip to Italian College trip in order to see several works of arts that been created by the worlds greatest artist. Lisa Purda said that they strongly feel that these rural kids don’t get the same opportunities upon traveling on overseas that most city students have already experience.

With that, the group is planning to have a stop over in Dubai in order for the students be able to experience its first hand culture that is not based on Western only but rather go on for the nation in Florence, Venice, Rome, Milan, Verona, and Pisa. In which, they will be able to see the original artworks that been made by Leonardo de Vinci, Botticelli, and Michelangelo. As of now, the students had just already raised about $10,000 for its educational trip. So part of that experience was entirely for educational learning that they need to do for themselves and that they were will be nobody to give some handouts on them. So, it will be their initiative upon coming up some aspects that will support for their fundraising towards going to Italy that includes selling their old clothing, bottles, newspapers, or performing a live musical jamming.

The musical live jamming was already been organize with the support of the jazz vocalist or singer who is Aivale Cole. In which, he will be performing in the Rodger Fox Big in the Regent of Broadway theatre of Palmerston North for about 3pm. The income of these musical jamming will go the Tararua College educational art trip to College Italy. According to Mrs. Purda that this Ms Cole is very much generous and she wanted to support these art students in order to expand their educational learning especially upon seeing the prestigious work of art in Italy galleries. The tickets that been sold ranges from $15 to $35.

While it is often emulated in many countries it is never duplicated. Food lovers should partake in the cooking experience that only Italy can offer. In this regard, venturing for a cooking holiday in Italy is really something to look forward for. Your cooking skill is guaranteed to sharpen up in Italy through many of its ideally destination sites for cooking. It is admirable how Italians simply love to cook and are knowledgeable in making a memorable vacation experience put of cooking. If you think about it, it certainly makes a rewarding experience blending a trip to a fine country for a very interesting hobby. No wonder people who love to cook will definitely love Italy. Italian cooking is best identified through its use of fresh ingredients, mainly with what is presently in season. In this line, if you are planning to take Italian cooking lessons it is best that you book in advance especially during times of summer, spring and fall.

It takes many forms to learn about Italian cooking. If your schedule is restricted you can at least take two classes every weekend, or enroll for full week classes in one of Italy’s many cooking schools. There are several programs that Italy has to offer, usually it is taught in convenient accommodations and old villas. You can imagine an excursion to a farmer’s market in Italy, and learning a couple of course with a pasta dish. It makes for a good start into Italian cooking. It is even nicer to be able to use ingredients that are grown within the proximity of the villa you are staying. It is just something in Italy. A cooking vacation in Italy paves for better appreciation of the characteristic of Italian dishes that are rooted in simplicity. Classes are usually in the morning for half of the day. The rest of the day is your own time to explore and do whatever you fancy. Taking tours to wineries in the local area and excursions to neighboring towns are something to do in the evening. That way you will be learning more than food knowledge. Sagre is one of the most recommended excursions offered seasonally, as a food festival. It is something you must never fail to see when you are in Italy, as it is a great way to get to know the chefs who are teaching classes, owners of the villas you are staying and most of all, the local food lovers themselves and get a perfect break to interact and complete an Italian cooking vacation.

Italy is recognized globally by its extensive culture, language and most of all art. It is said to store approximately two thirds of the world’s heritage. Artistry is evident in many forms including architectural styles. As a matter of fact, UNESCO declared forty regions of Italy as sites for the World Heritage, which includes among others the ones below.

Florence in Italy is a hub of structures defining different expressions back from the Renaissance period. If you simply adore art at its best Florence will show you greatly the remarkable works of the famous artists in history such as Botticelli, Michelangelo and Giotto, while Rome will offer you the phenomenal works of Leonardo Da Vinci such as the renowned “The Last Supper”. On the other hand, Venice manifests the picturesque views you see on postcards. If you are familiar with Titian and Veronese you will discover that the city of Venice stores much of their works. The Botanical Garden in the state of Padua is another masterpiece. It is the world’s first botanical garden built in 1945 and remains a scientific center for research today. Moreover, the Sacri Monti is another famous site to visit. The site is alleged as the place where the greatest expression of faith can be found. This place represents a collection of chapels with architectural designs from the sixteenth century in addition to priceless paintings as well as statues. Furthermore, if you can imagine already the chapels put together perfectly on the natural landscape with pine trees and blue lakes, it is no wonder why it is best to study art in Italy. In the end, indeed not only is Italy rich in its culture, but is disarming most especially in the aspects of art and faith.

During the year of 1950, there are only 7% of girls in between the ages of fourteen and seventeen who went to school, and there are only 12% of boys are going to school. While in 1998-99 there are about 84% of the girls and only 81% of the boys attended high schools. It was during the 1990s where girls outnumbered the percentage of boys attending classes. Due to this, the increasing percentage of women with regards to education explained that Italian women have greater existence of women within the labor market. Italien women use all posibilities to go abroad and learn different language for example with the MBA especializado - or the famous college program Erasmus. This way they are able to develop a distinctiv profil for international companies.

In this present time, Italian women did not already appreciate the traditional role of being a mother and wife alone. And young housewives on the other hand see their condition as an obligation than as an option. In fact Italian working mothers considered more satisfied compared of being a housewives and mothers alone. Despite the reality that they are abounding with work, they find working outside more reliable because they find it worthy. There are about 35% of the Italian mothers nowadays that spend time of about seventy hours working every week.

While Italian men when compared to women are only contributes a little with regards to housework and childcare. Though we are now in the modern time, still the situation of husband and wife in Italy remains constant. In fact, that tradition does not only exists for the wife and husband but as well as to their children. Boys in Italy are asked only less housework rather than to girls. Most of the girls in Italy are more responsible to household works than to boys. Italian boys on the other hand only contribute a little housework and childcare compared to girls. There is always this gender role in Italy whatever angle you may go, be it in education housework, jobs and more.

Would that be very exciting to do business like having your own Pizza business in front of the many schools in your country? Italy is considered the maker of the world’s best and tastier Pizza and Pasta. In fact, there are lots of universities and colleges in most historic country that are campaigning for the best culinary schools. Well, if you love cooking and specializing on a certain products like Pizza you can enroll Italy’s top culinary schools. You can enroll in Tuscany, a very promising place in Italy. In this particular place there lies one of the oldest restaurants named Porta del Fabbri owned by great chef Paola Baccetti. This restaurant is been there for more than ten years already. Ms Baccetti also has an Italian cooking school at Casa Ombuto near the old center in Bibbiena, nestled in Tuscany’s beautiful valley. You can enroll in Ms Baccetti’s school if you do love cooking and master Italian cuisine.

There are also culinary universities that teach Italian cooking such as the Lorenzo de Medici, one of the respectable culinary schools in town enrolled by many foreigners. Lorenzo de Medici is located in Florence. If you enroll there you can also meet Prof. Paola Baccetti there as she also teaches culinary subjects in said university. You can really enjoy your stay in Italy’s top universities because there are Italian expert chefs that teach you everything about Italian food and how they are best serve to the people. Superior preparation just like the Crostini, Torte Verdura and Bruschetta are loved by many tourists in Italy. You can enjoy all these best food preparation by expert Italian chefs. That’s why when I had visited this place last year I really enjoyed the sumptuous dinner on that very memorable resto-hopping experience before proceeding to the Vatican City to attend a very important business transaction. We had our breakfast in Vatican and again we tasted the discriminating taste of the Italian version of roasted chicken and grilled seafood. The experience was really very exciting and our vacation in Italy was never a dull moment.

The Italy Ministry of Education has been supporting this program ever since it is created in the country to accommodate many language students. The education minister office always sees to it that students get the good education as far as learning the Italian language. They’ve been monitoring the program so that non-Italians are satisfied the way schools handle this program. They also monitor that all the teachers in language schools are Italians so that students are satisfied with the school’s performance.

According to the Education Ministry there are certain methods to follow when teaching Italian language to foreigners and this is what they are also interested to learn whether it is properly implemented during the course of the programs. The language schools are now developing in the country as many foreign guests and visitors want to learn the language. The program is exciting. In fact, during the first day of classes there is always a fellowship party so that each student knew each other very well especially that they also come from different countries in Europe. The student starts to bond so that they would have a very memorable stay in Italy during the course of their study of the language. The education minister also developed a good method in which students can easily understand the lessons. The modules include General course, grammar course, and grammar courses in Italian. The language schools also organize excursion tours so that the students can also feel how the country develops and learn their culture as well.

Of course, I will also be visiting Rome on my trip with my parents. In fact, my parents have already bought through Expedia the Alitalia airline tickets for the four of us (including my younger sister Monica). I am not just a movie buff and as a fan of economic studies, I am glad that we Italian-Americans have contributed in our own little ways to help steer the United States economy from recession and being patriotic by spending a few bucks through our one-week vacation to Italy. By spending in hotels in Rome and Tuscany during spring break, we also play ode to our Italian heritage and contribute to the economy there.

My Italian actress idol is Monica Bellucci. I first saw her convincingly perform as Jesus’s mother in The Passion of the Christ. Later, I saw her playing opposite Bruce Willis as a missionary in Africa in Tears of the Sun. She must be a good actress because she has captured the fancy of Hollywood producers. And they are not just B-rated movies that Monica is hired, they are big-budgeted productions such as The Passion of the Christ and Tears of the Sun. Remember that Tears of the Sun has been handpicked by West Point as a supplemental tool in teaching their students how to do a covert Special Forces military operation accurately.

Monica Bellucci really did justice to the producers of all the Hollywood movies that she has starred in and that’s what makes her my idol. In one of the saddest movies I have ever seen, Irreversible, she played the role of a pregnant woman who was mercilessly raped and killed. And that’s why I adore Monica Bellucci as an actress. But then again, Monica is pure Italian. I also want to throw my moral support to actors of Italian descent in the United States like Anthony LaPaglia who is an Australian-Italian but now in the United States as a mainstay in Jerry Bruckheimer’s Without a Trace.

IN Italy, the people in 2008 are already growing more liberated in this country of mostly Roman Catholic which hosts the headquarters of Roman Catholicism itself at the Vatican. When Pope Benedict XVI attempted to visit University of Rome last week, he was jeered by students who do not like his seemingly anti-science views. As the chief of the Swiss Guards protecting the Pope lamented, it’s easier to visit a dangerous country such as Turkey rather than visiting the University of Rome.

This is just a testament to the fact that Italy is really a free country outside the influence of the Vatican City. In return, Vatican City is mum on the nation’s politics. Even during World War II at the height of Benito Mussolini’s reign when the dictator allied himself with the Axis Powers, Vatican City is tightlipped on the issue.

Right now, what Italy is doing is to protect its own economy from a credit crisis which has gripped the United States hard in 2007. Banks in Italy are shielded from the crisis because they do not follow the same credit structure implemented in the United States. Despite that, the central bank of Italy is not taking chances. This early, the Bank of Italy has urged its citizens to cut on spending for consumer items as well as other services if they want to avail of tax cuts. This is to protect their economy even though their constituency is that democratic – they can urge the government to cut their taxes. But that is certainly not a feasible measure right now as every euro in Italian hands must be let go so the economy can keep on revolving. But with the constant influx of tourists to such cities as Rome, Venice and Milan, the economy in Italy is still very robust and very vibrant to this day indeed.

These three cities have lots of tourists for a variety of reasons. Rome hosts the Vatican City whose Roman Catholic religion encompasses all around the globe as well as it is also the center of prehistoric European civilization. Do you know that Rome has long been there before Christ was born and it is the origin of contemporary European languages such as English, French and German? On the other hand, Venice stands out for two reasons – it is the only pedestrian city in the world as well as the only city on earth sitting on a lagoon. Milan is of course the fashion capital of the world - even those from London, Paris and Madrid are catching flights, vols and vuelos to get here!

Another strategic measure that the central bank of Italy has imposed is to encourage merger among local banks so their assets can be consolidated and they can withstand any possible economic outfall in the future. Another thing that the central bank of Italy has to look out for in 2008 is for prices of commodities in the nation not to fluctuate. So when you visit Italy, help us maintain the bullishness of our economy. Dump your cash here in return of memorable giveaways to your families back home.
